- Past experience in one of the “Big Four” audit firms.
- Board participation at large & listed companies (ABSA, Old Mutual, Tiger Brands, Transnet, New Clicks, Foschini, Adcorp Limited, Saab, Investec, Highveld Steel).
Strategy operational assistance
- Participation in the strategic planning process.
- Kapela executives are more readily available and accessible for whatever support needed.
- Understand business imperatives: Qualified and experienced former CEOs, Directors and Executives of corporate SA (ABSA, Saab, Telkom, Adcorp).
- Experience in various industries, amongst others, Finance (including mergers & acquisitions), ICT and Engineering, FMCG, Management consulting (with the “Big Four” audit firms), Public sector
Contribute to B-BBEE compliance and structuring
Kapela is defined as a Black Equity Fund Manager – provide 100% black ownership for the purposes of B-BBEE under ownership, voting and economic interest elements. Brings additional scorecard points due to its Broad Based nature
Assist in Growing the business
- Leverage networks and relationships if and when appropriate
- Identify potential targets as well as transaction support
